Snow at last!
This morning just after I left my house, having made the decision to bike to work, it started snowing. That kind of stuff that happens when it's just above freezing, so it melts as soon as you look at it. Although by the time I got to work, it wasn't melting -- I think it's a few degrees cooler here, yes, all of 5 minutes by bike from my house, but there's more open space and all. Also by the time I got to work, I was a bit wet, my mascara had run slightly, and my right forehead was cold.
Then it got sunny for a while.
Now it is snowing with a vengeance, huge clumps of flakes like feathers from a feather bed -- or a pillow fight! Saara, why didn't we have more of those?
Anyway. It's bound to stop soon, and probably won't even stick, which is good news from the perspective of my bike ride home but bad news from the romantic white city perspective. I am planning to visit the gym today, to keep up my once-a-week average.
In other news, my team moved offices yesterday. So now I sit closer to the boss (next office over) and share an office again -- in contrast to my (six?) months of solitude and isolation. Impact on productivity not yet definitively assessed, although the time I spent moving my own stuff and re-connecting my own computer was certainly, in my opinion, a waste. Proof that they aren't paying me enough. Bonus: they did come move my plant for me.
